Meet the Doctor
Biana Roykh, DDS
Family and childhood friends know that I dreamed of becoming a dentist since I was twelve years old.
I immigrated to the US with my family from Odessa, Ukraine at the age of eleven. United States opened
up many opportunities for me and allowed me the education I needed to realize my desire to be involved
as an oral heath care expert and an educator in people’s lives. I wake up every morning with a smile,
knowing that I will be attending to my patients and the patients of my students, and improving their quality of life.
I graduated from UCLA with a B.S. in Human Physiology and then went on to gain admission into the world-renowned
UCSF School of Dentistry. UCSF is the leader in dental and health research and I am forever grateful for the
top-notch training I received throughout my four years there. Throughout dental school, I dedicated myself to
community service, leadership and patient care. I was nominated and inducted into the
Omicron Kappa Upsilon National
Honor Dental Society and was elected class speaker at the commencement ceremony in 2006.
Dentistry is an exciting growing field and that led me to apply to a General Practice Residency
at the University
of Nevada School of Medicine in Las Vegas. During this residency, I worked with special needs and health compromised
patients in both a private practice setting and at the UMC Hospital. I got training in placement and restoration of
dental implants, preservation and augmentation of bone. I learned advanced surgical techniques including extractions
of wisdom teeth, cosmetic dentistry such as veneers and smile makeovers, orthodontics, advanced root canal therapy using
a microscope and pediatric care. I am so enthusiastic that this training allows me to offer my patients the best of dentistry!
I left my heart in San Francisco… In 2007 I returned to San Francisco and got married to my dental school sweetheart.
We have two little kids and a beagle dog, and live in Daly City, CA.
My interests in dentistry include patient care, education, and community outreach. This guided me to a very versatile
career path. In June of 2013, I left my union square private practice - Dream Dental, and accepted a position as a Clinic
Director at the UCSF Dental Center. In this role, I focus on training the future elite providers in dentistry. I am also
fortunate to continue caring for my patients in faculty practice at the UCSF Buchanan Dental Center. Every patient visit
is an opportunity for me to better someone’s life and that is true virtue!
Thank you for your interest and I look forward to meeting you in our clinic.
